One of the best things you can do to maintain optimal performance and add longevity to your pressure washer is to regularly change the oil to keep it fresh and clean. Proper lubrication protects the components inside your pressure washer pump, allowing them to operate smoothly with limited friction and grinding. Pressure washer pump oil is available in a variety of sizes. So, you can stock up with larger multi-gallon jugs if you regularly run a sizable fleet of pressure washers or buy smaller quart bottles if you’re a smaller operation with only one or two pressure washers.
When buying oil for a pressure washer pump, take note of the manufacturer that made it. Although your pressure washer might have a brand that made it, they often use a pump from a company that specializes in pumps, like CAT or General Pump. Most pressure wash pump manufacturers produce their own special blends that work best with their pumps. Not only will the pump perform well and last longer, using the recommended oil is often required to maintain any manufacturer or seller warranties.
