Water Pump Pressure Switch

The right water pressure switch will help improve the efficiency and day-to-day operations at your car wash. Giant Pumps makes a range of pressure switches such as the 23176A-4000. This is a brass pressure switch with a maximum pressure of 3650 PSI and an actuation pressure of 640 PSI. The maximum temperature rating measures 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

The switch features a 3/8" MBSP inlet port. Available electrical connections include normally open with the brown wire, common with the red wire, and normally closed with the blue wire. The main purpose of the switch is to translate water pressure to a micro switch. The switch controls on and off functions for burners, clutches, and other low amperage devices.

What Does a Pressure Switch Do on a Pump?
