The Infitec OCSS1 Optical Coin Sensor for detecting coins in vending and dispensing applications. It senses most surfaces, and pulse output prevents false triggering. This version of the OCSS has fast response sensing type at a .5" distance. The output contact closes for 40-60ms then returns to its original normally open state. It will not remain activated or re-trigger if an object should jam while reflecting the light beam. Operating voltage from 9-30 VDC. No moving parts, so it won't wear out!
The Infitec OCSS1 optical coin sensor is a solid state switch that detects when a coin is inserted. Uses a beam that is ON, with an output contact in a normally open (OFF) state. When a coin, token, or other object reflects the infra-red light back to the sensor, the Fast Response output closes for 40-60ms and then returns to the original state. Sensor will not remain activated or re-trigger if object jams. Senses at 1/2" distance. Surface mount sensor, use in coin mechanisms.
